Csiga — Spiral Glass Vase

Csiga is a handmade vase built from a single coil that winds around the form in several turns, narrowing as it rises like a shell or a rolled ribbon. Each level steps slightly beyond the one below it, creating soft, rounded ledges rather than a continuous wall. At the base the coil spreads into a wide, slightly spilled collar with a single droplet caught and set at its edge — a trace of the material frozen mid-movement.

The milky cream-pearl colour carries a warm, ivory undertone and just enough translucency for light to sink into the wall rather than slide across it. A mirror-bright gloss carries reflections along the whole spiral, emphasising its rhythm. Each piece is handcrafted in a small studio, so the pitch of the coil, the thickness of the walls and the distribution of colour vary from one to the next — a natural characteristic of handmade work. The vase looks best standing alone, somewhere with access to natural light.
