Olvadás — Chrome Sculptural Vase

Olvadás is a handmade vase in which two opposing states of matter meet. The upper section is a clean, sharply drawn rectangular column with smooth mirrored faces and crisp edges. Towards the base, the geometry begins to give way — the form spreads into soft folds, as though caught mid-melt and frozen just before losing its shape entirely. That tension between discipline and collapse is the point of the piece.

The high-gloss surface behaves like a mirror: the vase constantly gathers reflections of the room around it, shifting with the light and the hour, never looking quite the same twice. Every piece is handcrafted, so the pattern of folds at the base is unique — two identical examples simply don't exist. This is handmade work from a small studio, which means slight differences in the run of the creases and the depth of the shine belong to the object's character. It shows best standing alone against a matte, muted background that lets the reflections do the talking.
